As anticipation builds for Union Home Minister Amit Shah's public meeting scheduled for tomorrow in the Dharmatalla area of Kolkata, preparations are reaching their climax. State BJP President Sukant Majumdar revealed that a massive three-tier stage, spanning 60 feet in width, is being readied for the significant event.

The high-profile stage will not only host Union Home Minister Amit Shah but will also feature the presence of Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh, Minister of State Niranjan Jyoti, and Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari. Tight security measures are being implemented to ensure the safety of the dignitaries, with even bird-proofing in consideration.

A noteworthy addition to the stage is a separate 35-foot space designated for prominent leaders of the Bengal BJP. This platform aims to accommodate individuals deserving of the Central Government's ambitious 100-day employment guarantee scheme, yet allegedly overlooked by the State Government.

Central forces deployed for Amit Shah's security arrived in Kolkata two days ago, collaborating with local police to enhance security around the venue. Skilled personnel from the Kolkata Police have also been strategically placed to bolster security measures.

The public meeting is poised to address issues surrounding the 100-day employment guarantee scheme, a topic that led to a previous Trinamool Congress protest in Delhi. The Kolkata Police initially denied permission for the meeting, only to reverse course after a stern rebuke from the Calcutta High Court.

Allegations suggest that the ruling Trinamool Congress selectively included the names of its workers in the MNREGA list, further exploiting central funds by exaggerating employment numbers. These contentious issues are expected to take center stage during the public meeting.
